National Institute of Technology, Mizoram as popularly known as NIT Mizoram was established in the year 2010 in the state of Mizoram. The aim of this premier institute was to impart education, research & training programs to the people of Northeast so as to lead them to B.Tech, MTech, M.Sc. & Ph. Degrees.
NIT Mizoram is an Institute situated in the scenic beauty of Mizoram, wrapped between clouds and mountain rocks, which adds to its beauty. The college is one of the very few premier technical Colleges in Northeastern India. B.Tech
Admission to B.Tech degree programs (CSE, ECE, EEE, ME, CIVIL) at NIT Mizoram in the year 2019, through Central Counseling Board, will be based on the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main)
M.Tech
All regular category candidates must possess a score of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
PhD
Candidates whose selection is approved by the Director will be admitted to the PhD programme by paying the prescribed fees. The candidate should also pay fees every semester as prescribed by the institute failing which registration will be cancelled. Ordinarily, a candidate is not eligible for re-registration for PhD after the cancellation of his/her earlier registration for any reason. However, depending on the merits and considering any special circumstance of the individual case, a candidate may be considered for re-registration after Director’s approval.

A Student should be passed the Final examination of the 10+2 system in Science with at least 75% marks (65% marks for SC/ST) from a recognized board.
M.Tech
Candidates must be Passed B.Tech for any stream to the recognized university with 65% marks. and must be qualified GATE
PhD
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s degree by Research (M.S. By Research) in Engineering/Technology disciplines with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (or) CGPA of 6.5/10 in UG and in PG for admission under OC/OBC category and 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of 6.0 for SC/ST candidates. Aggregate marks/CGPA, the standard in awarding the degree that the university follows will be taken into consideration.

National Institute of Technology Nagaland is popularly known as NIT Nagaland. It is one of the 30 National Institutes of Technology in India. NIT Nagaland was set up by the Government of India in 2009, as part of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan (2007–2012) for imparting technical education in the state of Nagaland. NIT Silchar has provided initial mentorship to NIT Nagaland for the initial two years of its establishment.
NIT Nagaland is located at the Old DC Complex at Chumukedima, about 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from Dimapur. The college is one of the very few premier technical Colleges in Northeastern India. For UG (B.Tech) Courses
One must have to clear the JEE (MAIN) exam and must have to secure at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) in Class 12th exam for any recognized board of India.
For M.Tech Courses
Admission to postgraduate M.Tech programs is on the basis of marks obtained by the students in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE and through CCMT Counseling.
For Foreigners
Admission for foreigners in UG/PG program is done through DASA (Direct admission of students abroad) based on SAT Score.
For PhD
